Tennis Lessons in Falls Church, VA.
Falls Church is home base. Most weeks I am on a court somewhere between the City and Bailey's Crossroads, coaching kids and adults from first-ever lesson to league play.
Falls Church is a small city with a real tennis habit. Between the City courts, the Bailey's Crossroads side, and Jefferson District Park just west, there is enough public court time to build a serious game without ever joining a club. It is also where my Google listing is anchored, so it is the area I know down to which court drains fastest after rain.
Where I teach tennis in Falls Church
Here is where I actually teach in and around Falls Church, and what each spot is good for:
- Cherry Hill Park. Two lighted courts right in the center of the City, next to the Community Center and the library. The most central public option and my default for quick-access lessons.
- Cavalier Trail Park. Two lighted courts in a quiet neighborhood park with a playground and trail. Good for kids and families who want a calmer setting.
- North Cherry Street Courts. Two City courts, daytime hours only. Handy for a midday adult session.
- Minnie H. Peyton Community Center. The public courts on the Bailey's Crossroads side of Falls Church. Closest option if you are down by Seven Corners.
- Jefferson District Park. Eight lighted courts open year round, about four miles west off Route 29. The go-to when you want court volume or an evening session that runs late.
How I coach tennis in Falls Church
The Falls Church students I see most are commuter parents who want their kid on a court before the schedule fills, and federal or professional adults squeezing a lesson in before or after work. So I keep Falls Church lessons flexible: early Cherry Hill slots, evenings at Jefferson where the lights run late, weekend family sessions at Cavalier Trail.
If you are not sure which court fits, that is part of what I help with. Beginners do better on the quieter neighborhood courts. Players who want a real workout want Jefferson's space.
Kids and adult tennis lessons in Falls Church
Whether it is a child's first time on a court or an adult rebuilding a game, I coach both in Falls Church. Coach Arun teaches movement and biomechanics first, then strokes that hold up under pressure. See kids tennis lessons, adult tennis lessons, or private tennis lessons for how each works.
I also coach nearby in Arlington, McLean, and Annandale.
FAQs about tennis lessons in Falls Church, VA
Where do you teach tennis in Falls Church?
Mostly Cherry Hill Park and Cavalier Trail in the City, the Minnie H. Peyton courts on the Bailey's Crossroads side, and Jefferson District Park just west for more court space and evening lights. I can also meet you at your home club.
Do you coach both kids and adults in Falls Church?
Yes. I coach kids from age five and up and adults at every level, from never-played to league players. Falls Church is my most central area so scheduling here is usually the easiest.
Are the Falls Church public courts free to use?
The City and county courts are public. Some, like Cherry Hill, can be reserved by residents, and Jefferson District Park is unreserved year-round play. I handle picking and timing the court as part of setting up your lessons.
