Tennis Lessons in McLean, VA.

McLean takes its tennis seriously, and the public courts here are genuinely good. I coach juniors building toward high school tennis and adults coming back to a game they love.

McLean has some of the best-maintained public tennis courts in Northern Virginia, which means most families I work with do not need a club to train well. Between Lewinsville, McLean Central, and Churchill Road, there is a court for almost any time of day.

Where I teach tennis in McLean

The McLean public courts I teach on, and what each is good for:

  • Lewinsville Park. The largest public tennis facility in McLean, with five courts plus a dual-use court after its 2022 renovation. Spread out enough that siblings can play side by side, which makes it my pick for family lessons.
  • McLean Central Park. Three courts behind the Dolley Madison Library, in the heart of McLean by the Community Center. Convenient and central.
  • Churchill Road Park. Four lighted hard courts in a quiet residential pocket. Good for evening adult sessions.
  • Linway Terrace Park. Two lighted neighborhood courts. A solid quieter option for a focused one-on-one.
  • Scotts Run Community Park. Two lighted courts on the Tysons edge of McLean, handy if you are coming from the office.

How I coach tennis in McLean

McLean splits into two kinds of students for me. Juniors prepping for Langley or McLean High School tennis, where we work real stroke mechanics and match patterns, and adults coming back to the game after a long layoff, where we rebuild efficient movement so the body holds up. Both do better on public courts than on a home court with surface issues, which is why I lean on Lewinsville and Churchill Road.

Kids and adult tennis lessons in McLean

Whether it is a child's first time on a court or an adult rebuilding a game, I coach both in McLean. Coach Arun teaches movement and biomechanics first, then strokes that hold up under pressure. See kids tennis lessons, adult tennis lessons, or private tennis lessons for how each works.

I also coach nearby in Vienna, Tysons, and Falls Church.

FAQs about tennis lessons in McLean, VA

Where do you teach tennis in McLean?

Mainly Lewinsville Park, McLean Central Park behind the Dolley Madison Library, and Churchill Road Park. Linway Terrace and Scotts Run are good quieter options too. I can also coach at your club.

Do you coach junior players preparing for high school tennis?

Yes. A lot of my McLean juniors are working toward Langley or McLean High School tennis. We build stroke mechanics, footwork, and match strategy on a timeline that fits the school season.

I played years ago and want to come back. Can you help?

That is one of my favorite kinds of student. We rebuild your strokes around efficient biomechanics so you hit cleaner with less strain, and use yoga-informed mobility work so the body keeps up. Plenty of McLean adults are doing exactly this.
